2. General information on data processing

We process our users' personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functioning website and our content, or where you have given your consent. The legal bases are, in particular, Art. 6(1)(a) (consent), (b) (contract) and (f) (legitimate interest) GDPR.

3. Hosting and server log files

When you access this website, the hosting provider automatically collects information in so-called server log files that your browser transmits. This is generally: IP address, date and time of access, the page accessed, the volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer). Processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for the purpose of the secure and stable operation of the website. The log files are deleted or anonymised after a short time.

4. Cookies and local storage

This website uses technically necessary local storage to save your preference for the light or dark theme. This information stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us. In addition, cookies may be set through the use of Google AdSense (see section 6).

5. Fonts

To display text, this website uses fonts that are served locally from our own server (self-hosting). No connection to third-party servers — such as Google Fonts — takes place, and no data such as your IP address is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.

6. Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for embedding advertisements provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google AdSense uses cookies and comparable technologies (e.g. web beacons) to deliver ads and measure their effectiveness. Information about your use of this website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to and stored by Google. Personalised ads are only served with your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can grant or refuse via the consent dialog (consent banner). Without consent, ads are served on a non-personalised basis only.

7. Recipients and third-country transfers

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and a right to object (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent given at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
